Mariborska livarna

Leto 1936 zaradi začetka proizvodnje medeninastih palic,  predstavlja pomemben mejnik v razvoju livarne.

Leta 1947 so pričeli s proizvodnjo kovancev iz medenine, 1949 so uvedli program tlačnega litja, leto 1957 pomeni začetek proizvodnje kokilnih ulitkov iz bakrovih in aluminijevih zlitin, leto 1967 uvedbo blagovne znamke sanitarnih armatur Armal, leto 1974 začetek proizvodnje aluminijskih radiatorjev Aklimat, leta 1999 so uvedli program Alutec.

The Maribor Foundry Company

In 1924, a foundry was established on the grounds of today's Maribor Foundry Factory (Mariborska livarna Maribor). The premises included an administration building, a bell foundry, a shaping area and a foundry for smaller objects. The factory was demolished during WW II. and rebuilt in 1945. It started producing brass coins in 1947, introduced the programme of pressure die casting in 1949 and started the production of ingot moulds in 1957. In 1967, the foundry introduced Armal, a new brand of sanitary fittings, followed by the Alutec programme in 1999. At the beginning of the 90’s, the Maribor Foundry Company introduced a first production robot and by 2008, the company optimised the robot-based production with 24 robots. In 2005, the company started a modernisation of the production and bough the IDRA 1750 die casting machine.
